Description

The battery-powered Fuse LED table lamp impresses with its combination of a cylindrical base made of Calacatta marble, a mushroom-shaped lampshade made of three-layer opal glass, and an alabaster diffuser that closes the lampshade at the bottom. Thanks to its battery operation, the light can be used anywhere without annoying cables and provides up to 15 hours of light, depending on the setting. It is switched on and off via a switch located under the base, which can also be used to adjust the brightness in three stages. With soft, classic yet contemporary shapes and materials, the goal of the design studio Groundwork Studios, founded by Morten Bo Jensen, was to develop lights that inspire with their use of materials and form, focus on durability and delight with their pleasant light. The Fuse table lamp is a product that meets this goal in every respect. The light is equipped with a warm white LED module, which is placed behind the translucent cover made of glare-free alabaster stone.

Groundwork Studio attaches particular importance to soft and warm lighting characteristics, but equally focuses on materiality as another essential design feature: A lamp is switched off for a considerable part of its lifetime, but often remains a central feature in the interior. The selection of delicate materials and precise shapes in the series of lights Fuse aims to create sculptural elements that enrich any interior, even when switched off.
